Having trouble accessing Tyler Reports (MUNIS Password support)?

OVERVIEW

Tyler has all users update their password every 90 days. For those of us that also have access into Tyler Reporting Services, and/or Crystal Reports, to generate products on the MUNIS data there is a second layer of protection that sometimes needs to be refreshed.

CAUSE

Previously, the MUNIS password was maintained as a separate password from the Tyler Reports/Crystal Reports password; as of August 2019 the MUNIS system merged their password usage so that the system can use a single password to access MUNIS and reporting products.

The problem is that the MUNIS password has to be updated every 90 days, but the Tyler Reports password does not have the same cycle, so when a user changes their MUNIS password they break the sync that was connecting their MUNIS password and Reports password to be the same one.

SOLUTION BY USER

After a user, who has a Reporting password (uses Tyler Reporting Services or Crystal Reports), updates their password they need to go to the following website and log in with their new password: https://cloudadmin.tylertech.com/

This should force the system to re-sync the previous password stored for reporting to match the new MUNIS password. This should clear up 90% of these issues with the end user doing this themselves.

SOLUTION BY IT STAFF

If, after this action, the user is still not able to get into a reporting product a Cloud Admin user (IT Staff) may need to force the sync by going into the users account and invoking the "Sync Users Passwords Upon Next Login" (If Sync is toggled on, the user's AD password will overwrite their associated SQL account passwords when the user next logs in to Cloud Admin.) button.

Then the end user should log into the site again https://cloudadmin.tylertech.com/.

Any reporting method, TRS or Crystal, that the end user was attempting to access should be closed out and restarted after the sync action has taken place.

If there is further issue with the end user not being able to get into the reporting method contact the Tyler SAAS team.
